PTC - Parent Teacher Club

Need a Parent and a Past PTC President Volunteer to serve on the Scholarship Committee, Need Volunteers to help with the Teas, and we need volunteers/suggestions on possible PTC officers for the coming school year.

Standing Committee’s

A.    Concession Stand:  profit of $4542.45

B.     Homecoming Luncheon:   profit of $628.50

C.     Decals:  profit of $80.00

D.    Fundraiser

E.     Scholarship Packet Distribution:  Packets go out 4/1/08 due back 4/26/08

               Nominating Committee: Steve Howard, Peggy Wright, Beth Renfro     

F.     8th and 12th grade Teas  (Beth Renfro)

G.    Teacher requests:  Requests go out March 17, 2008 due back April 14, 2008

     Become a member, dues are $3.00 a person, or $5.00 a couple.

          We have several items for sale such as:  Grey generic t-shirts (various sizes @ $6.00 each), 2 youth medium baseball shirts ($8.00 each), 2 Adult XL, and 1 Adult 3XL track shirts ($8.00 each),  Green May Tiger caps ($10.00 ea.), camouflage generic May Tiger shirts ($15.00 ea.), and May Tigers insulated cups ($8.00 ea.).  All items are located in the ISS room at the Elementary School.    

Incentive Program this year is anyone volunteering their time/making chili will be entered into a drawing for

3 -  $100 Wal-Mart gift cards.

 

In May of 2007 at the meeting we will have nominations from the floor for the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.  Only those who have consented to serve if elected shall be eligible for nomination.  A vote from a quorum of 7 members shall be conducted and the position will go to the candidate with the majority of the votes.  Officers shall assume their official duties at the close of the regular meeting in May and shall serve for a term of one year or until their successors are elected.  A person shall not be eligible to serve more than two consecutive terms in the same office.  This year we will be permitted to elect a new President and Vice President with those two positions having been filled by the same person 2 consecutive years.  The position of Secretary and Treasury are also available if those who served this year are not interested in filling those positions again.   If you are interested please let us know.  We would love to have you!
